experimental workshop that gives you the tools to compassionately
understand your personality using the principles of the Nia
Technique and the Enneagram model of the nine personality
types.
Dive into the personality through physical sensation, guided
meditation and cognitive study. Find the deepest part of you.
Hosted
by Robin Bach, Certified Black Belt Nia Instructor and Holistic
Personal Trainer.
With over 25 years experience in the health and fitness industry,
Robin has found a unique way of understanding personality
and motivations by paying attention to body sensations. This
groundbreaking workshop couples the wisdom of the Enneagram
with the principles of the Nia Technique.

This
is a 2-hour movement session that will include individual
and paired exercises. Exploring body movement, stretching,
and working on technique will have you on the floor for a
portion of the session. Wearing clothes designed for movement
and exercise is highly recommended. We will be working on
improving:
Understanding
our body...Balance...Tango technique
The lines of movement...Communication, sending &
receiving
Listening...Tango steps, combinations and levels |
I.
The Focus
Each class we will have a particular focus that we will continually
revisit during the session.
II. Warm up
Individual warm up and partnered warm up
III. The Combination
Each week we will explore a combination of step in different
levels. We will see the combination in each level and then
begin practicing the combination in stages and then levels.
Working in levels is designed to allow one to work at their
pace with the true intention of getting total control of the
steps and combinations.
1.
Piso Primero; The basic level of the combination
keeping the movement simple and clear, using individual
access. We will practice the combination and then self
assess and get instructor assessment. We are making the
Practica a part of the process.
2. Piso Segundo; The next level of the
combination will push the energy of and the movement while
adding to the complexity of the steps. We will practice
the combination and then self assess and get instructor
assessment. We are making the Practica a part of the process
3. Piso Ultimo; This level continues
the process of exploring variations of the basic combination
that was introduced in class and introducing more challenges
for lead and follow. We will practice the combination
and then self assess and get instructor assessment. We
are making the Practica a part of the process |

Stretch & Strengthen
Bringing the body back into alignment through personal
and professional assessment, stretching the body and listening
to what your body is telling you after the session,
V. Closing
Attention back to the Focus and reviewing the session and
discussing paired and individual Practica and exercises and
items in which to work
