TESTIMONIALS ABOUT ROBIN BACH

"I have been Robin's student for over 6 years through Nia, personal training and various workshops. Robin brings fun, great information for body and spirit and professionalism to her work. Her Nia class was where I first learned I could link my body, mind and spirit! She cares about her studentsand has been one of the greatest influences in creating community within the St. Louis Nia group, both for teachers and students. Not only will you have fun and learn a lot in her classes and workshops, you're sure to leave with new friends as well."

With Nia, I take care of my whole self, leaving with a calmer mind, a more resilient body, peace with my emotions, and a sense of connection with others. As a busy working mom, I am grateful to have found Robin's
Nia classes, where I get a "four in one" experience. I leave truly ready to step into the rest of my day.

"I have found Nia and Robin's teaching of Nia to be engaging, fun, focused and healing. In addition to being a safe and challenging form of mindfull exercise, Robin allows for you to find your own BEST way of moving. I recommend Nia to all my patients and go myself as often as I can."

"What a gift Robin was to the Narcolepsy Network conference in San Diego this year! With warmth and acceptance, Robin inspired us to look at our bodies as an energy source and not as an enemy. She showed us possibilities - taking us beyond our inabilities and disabilities. People who were practically paralyzed by sleepiness were up and moving with a newfound confidence. We laughed, we smiled, and we exalted with the powerful awaking of our bodies! Who would have thought that a roomful of chronically sleepy people would create energy that was palpable? Simply, Robin was the medicine that we have been yearning for. How fortunate that we found her! I hope that we can get her back for many, many more of national conferences!

"Since we first met in the summer of 2004, I have developed great admiration for Robin. Her energy is contagious both in and outside of class. In fact, through Robin’s tutelage, all of the St. Louis Nia students have learned how to utilize their knowledge of stability, mobility, strength, flexibility, and agility in class. Whenever I feel that my love of Nia is waning, I take Robin’s classes and I’m hooked all over again! I’m not alone – students both in her private gym and the Wellbridge Athletic Club track her classes. In short, Robin is the primary reason Nia has flourished in the St. Louis area.

I suppose every Nia student has their own story. Some have overcome challenges with weight and numerous physical hurdles, while others have found inner peace and joy for the first time in their adult lives. My personal struggle with muscular dystrophy has become less of a burden having developed a deeper and richer relationship with my body. This is largely a result of Robin’s leadership, teaching us first to connect with our bodies where the integration of the mind, emotions, and spirit create an energy that transcends into our lives outside her studio. Robin also provides those of us in her classes with the opportunity to move, play and explore through free dance, encouraging us to release our inhibitions. Instead we’re guided on a joyous path allowing our imaginations to lead us.

Often in Robin’s Sunday morning class, I feel a spiritual connection that is inexplicable to someone who hasn’t experienced Nia. I had never felt anything like this before joining the Nia community. I often wonder what my life in St. Louis would be like had I not met Robin. She creates such a welcome environment that even the most reluctant of Nia “virgins” can’t help but be drawn in.

"Professional. Passionate. Playful. Powerful. Praise-worthy. These are descriptive words that embody the extraordinary Nia teachings of Robin Bach. Robin has inspired a community of Nia students in St. Louis, MO with her talent and dedication to the art and craft of Nia. She invites her students to dance through life with the joy of movement and varying intentions. Robin leads her classes through countless Nia routines with versatility, poise, and grace in addition to inspired music and moves. .... Robin has a skill for commanding the room, whether she is floating among her students or leading from the front of the class. Robin’s presence is felt viscerally among us.

Robin invokes a masterful combination of exact alchemy in mind, body, and spirit to generate such powerful responses in her students. In addition to Robin’s depth of anatomy, energetics, and Nia principles, she is also able to impart information while getting out of the way of her mind, and encouraging her students to do the same. Robin weaves her students seamlessly in body through exquisite choreography.

As a former classroom teacher with a Masters in Teaching (M.A.T.), I recognized Robin’s talents instantly.

In love and light,
